Statement of Faith

We believe
... in God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost - coequal, coeternal, three in one - one God (John 6:27, Romans 9:5, Acts 5:3-4).

... that God created this world and universe perfectly; but that man through his fall into sin, separated himself from God (Genesis 3:1-24).

... that Jesus, true God and true Man, came into this world; that He suffered, died and rose again from the dead; and by His action, paid for man’s sin (Romans 4:25).

... that the Holy Spirit, through the Word, brings us to faith in Jesus Christ as our personal Savior (John 16:8).

...that we are saved by grace through faith and that good works, while they do not save us, are a witness to our faith (Eph. 2:8).

...that the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God; that it is without error and that God reveals His will and His plan of salvation through it (John 10:35).

...in the existence of hell, and that it is real (Matthew 25:46, Daniel 12:2-3).
...in the existence of heaven, where God will one day gather all His believers in Christ (Revelation 20:14-15).

...that man is saved by faith in Christ alone (Eph. 2:8-9).

...that God wonderfully and immutably creates each person as male or female, and that these two distinct, complimentary genders together reflect the image and nature of God (Genesis 1:26-28).

...that God created marriage to be exclusively the union of one man and one woman, and that sexual activity is to occur exclusively within that union (Genesis 2:24, 1 Corinthians 7:2).

...that all human life is sacred and created by God in His image. Human life is of inestimable worth in all its dimensions, including pre-born babies, the aged, the physically or mentally challenged, and every other state of condition from conception through natural death. We are therefore called to defend, protect, and value all human life (Psalm 139).

Mission Statement

Growing faith in Jesus through scripture.

The mission of this congregation shall be to give honor and glory to God, to carry out His will, to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all the world, to manifest the unity of our faith in Jesus Christ as our God and Savior, to foster Christian fellowship and love, and to extend a helping hand in human need, which will be accomplished by preaching of the Word of God, the administration of the Sacraments, and by the religious instruction of all the members according to the confessional standard of the Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Vision Statement
Our Savior Christian Academy shares the love of Jesus with young children and instills in each student a love of learning and desire to serve the Lord through a Christ-centered curriculum.  Our Savior Lutheran Church and School exist to save the spiritually lost, to grow the faith of the spiritually saved, and to equip the saved to be courageous Christian witnesses to the non-believing world.

Educational Philosophy Statement
Our Savior Christian Academy works to form positive relationships with caregivers and parents engaging them fully as partners in education.  We believe that God created each child unique and special and they bring individual talent and potential to the classroom.  By providing a Christ-centered, safe and caring environment for learning that embraces multi-sensory teaching techniques unique to individual scholars, we create excellence in faith-based education.
