Pro-Abstinence Speaker Coming To Smithville Campus

Sex outside of marriage has consequences. That is the platform of national pro-abstinence speaker Pam Stenzel.  "What is the cost for sex and is it worth paying?" stated Stenzel during last summer's National Youth Gathering in Houston Texas.  "The biggest fear of teens is pregnancy.  You can live through pregnancy.  It is STDs (sexually transmitted diseases) that are far worse," stated Stenzel. It is a message that our society is not preaching.  However, according to the Centers of Disease Control, "... youth ages 15-24 account for almost half of the 26 million new sexually transmitted infections that occur in the United States."   

Pam Stenzel has made it her mission to educate young adults that sex does have consequences.  From unplanned pregnancy, abortion, STDs, and poor relationship decisions, our youth do not fully understand the costs of sex outside of marriage.  Stenzel has been sharing the message of abstinence for over 20 years.  She has spent her entire adult life working with women experiencing crisis pregnancies, advocating for LIFE, and helping students make the best choice, which is to save sex for marriage.  Pam’s life mission is to always point to the value of every single person, created in God’s image, with a plan and a purpose.

Congrats OSCA Archery Team!

Conngratulations to OSCA students Benji DonJuan, Tyler Barnes, and Jacob Klingenberg  who qualified and participated in the 2023 Missouri State Archery tournament.  Kade Messer qualified for the tournament but did not attend.  We are very proud of each team member's accomplishments.  Thank you to Coach Klingenberg for guiding and instructing the students and securing a large grant to grow the OSCA archery team.

Grab a friend and let’s paint with Natalie! This fun-filled painting session being held on Saturday April 29 from 10am-12pm at the Smithville campus is an opportunity to let your creativity flow while learning basic acrylic painting techniques with our very own OSCA art teacher- Natalie Burger. Natalie will walk you through a two-hour painting session showing you how to implement basic painting techniques as you create a masterpiece you get to take home! All ages welcome. Snacks and all supplies will be provided. You need to commit to the full 2 hour session. $40 per person with checks written out to OSCA and the memo line stating “Painting with Natalie” should be provided to your school’s front desk personnel.
